You want your photos to look like this

What happens to photos when not treated with care?
Acids
Untreated wood and paper products that release harmful vapors that cause photos to turn yellow or brown and become brittle while prematurely aging your photos and memorabilia.
Chemicals
Chemical Fumes from household cleaning products are not only dangerous to humans but also dangerous to your photos.
Dust
The smallest particle can be everywhere and can get into the tiniest corner and destroy the family memories.
Fingerprints
A single smudge from a fingerprint contains the small amounts of acid, oil and salts, which can destabilize color dyes and generate fading.
Improper Humidity
Dryness causes photos to crack, curl and fade; dampness/wetness causes photos to stick together and encourages mold growth which result in throwing away the memory.
Insects & Rodents
Bugs are attracted to anything that they are not supposed to be. Imagine opening a photo box or photo album to show your family and friends and a bug falls out of it.
Light
Ultraviolet, fluorescent light and sunlight will fade inks and make your photos brittle, dry and aged to a state that they can no longer be shared and enjoyed.
Natural Disasters
Storing copies, negatives or digital photos off site and in accessible emergency locations is key to keeping your memories alive after a disaster hits.
Temperature
Storing your photos in areas that fluctuate from hot to cold and from cold to hot such as garages, sheds, attics and basements is a breeding ground for damaged memories.
Vinyl
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) plastics fade and stick to photo creating even more damage to the photo instead of protecting them
Water
Photos need to be no where near water that is accessible because the water will destroy the photos within minutes.
